After our very successful Giving Tuesday event, where many people contributed their time and treasure in providing for families in need, we were ready for the next step:  Deliver the goods!

Five of us from the Abbey (including three monks) traveled to Maryville to visit with the families and bring them the gifts that aimed to make their Christmas a little more special this year.  The first family was very touched by our gesture, even to the point of tears, as we walked through the door, with each one of us carrying some items to help decorate for Christmas.  We had a Nativity set, a small and large Christmas tree, and several wrapped gifts for each family we visited.  People had written special messages and holiday blessings on the ornaments that were placed on the trees.

We visited with each family and wished them Christmas Blessings!
